Ordnance Survey of England One Inch Popular Map of Kington.  Publication Date:1920 with periodical corrected reprints.

Cloth mounted map

A late Popular Edition map, updated to 1937 and printed in 1938, 18 years after it was first published. It has Benderfold covers, hinged at the top, which were only used just before and during the earlier years of the Second World War, until Ordnance Survey's production of folded maps ceased for the duration.

The area it covers includes Radnor Forest, Presteign (sic) and Leominster to the north and Hay (on Wye) and Hereford in the south, with Kington in the middle.

This map and its cloth backing are excellent but there is some fading in the top margin of the map, not affecting the map face, and very light foxing of the cloth backing.  The folding cover is very good, unmarked and with a retailer's sticker inside, but it looks a little dark from handling or exposure to light.

Edition/Print code: 20/38. M.37. R.37.
