Ordnance Survey of England One Inch Popular Map of Wolverhampton.  Printing Date:1921. Revised in 1916-17

Cloth mounted map

A Popular Edition map, folded and provided with the post-1927 style of folding and covers but seemingly still without any revision.

The title is somewhat misleading in that Wolverhampton itself is tucked into the south east corner of the map, which is actually centred on what is now the A5, just north of Shifnal, and covers the area now known as Telford.  Stafford is in the north eastern corner of the map, while Shawbury, Atcham and Acton Burnell are towards the western edge.

This map and its cloth backing are excellent - clean, bright white and unworn..  The covers too are very good,  unmarked and with the slightest of edge knocks.

A really exceptional copy, fit for any collection.

Edition/Print code: None
