In 1968, Raymond Guitar was born in a small workshop in Valencia, Spain.
This guitar, created by Manuel Raymond, has gained a reputation throughout Spain for its advanced technology and beautiful finish, and is now widely loved and highly regarded overseas.
At Raymond's workshop, master craftsmen with over 25 years of experience still manufacture guitars using traditional Spanish handcraft methods. In Japan, Shimamura Musical Instruments has been delivering Raymond brand products since 2007. Taking into account the differences in climate between Spain and Japan, we have created a lineup of products that have been localized for Japan through a collaboration between Shimamura Musical Instruments and Raymond, from the drying stage of the wood to the design of each part of the instrument, as well as the detailed design and finish. This model is an all-single panel model that uses Raymond's unique concert bracing. By increasing the strength of the back and side plates and allowing the top plate to vibrate more freely, we have achieved a deep tone and long sound.
