You are bidding for a super large Wesuma Uranium Glazed Vase as follows.

Description: A very rare uranium glaze to this piece of Wesuma Art Pottery, great mix of shades of oranges & browns. Beautiful shape, perfectly formed & finished with a super scrolled Art Deco design as can be seen. Tom Lemon was a master at his craft & this piece of Art Pottery shows his skills of to perfection in my opinion, I love it, a true piece of local, West Country art pottery. The base is signed/inscribed with T W Lemon & Son, Wesuma Ware, Weston-s-Mare along with an early pattern number of 51/ as shown in the last picture on the site. Overall height of the vase is 9.5ins & it weighs in at a weighty 1.7kg approximately so a very heavy piece.

I have collected Wesuma Pottery for over 35 years now & I have now decided to sell 95% of it for personal reasons, I will be listing more items over the coming days/weeks, thank you.

Condition: No chips to be seen but sadly there is a very fine & possibly original firing crack which has been carefully restored at some point. To be honest with you I missed it when I purchased the vase originally as I was taken in by the size & colours, what do they say, check with care !!  I would describe it as a honest restoration, not done to deceive & part of the vases history in my opinion. Any way despite this I displayed it amongst my collection as it is still a super piece & displays very well indeed. The base is a little rough/rustic in finish but so typical of Art Pottery from the late 1920's but blends in well with the style of the vase. I am sure that you will be very pleased indeed with your purchase, looks wonderful on display, a real eye catcher.

Shipping/Delivery: I will pack with care in the way I would like to receive myself but please be aware that pottery/glass is not insured in transit. By the time this vase is packed & double boxed it will weigh close to 3kg plus so shipping cost reflects in that. I have allowed for Royal Mail 48hr tracked. Very happy for collection from Weston-s-Mare, thank You.

Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions you may have & I am more than happy to send more pictures if required.
