This model was made from 1955

 The Whipper along with the Fury were the start of Danarm making the first saws that could be operated by a single user

An Iconic British Chainsaw

Becoming a incredibly rare & difficult model to find, particularly in this original & untouched condition.

The Whippers were fitted with a J.A.P Starter assembley from a newly formed British engineering company J.A. Prestwich Industries in London.

The company formed in 1951 and were later taken over by the now World Famous Villiers in Wolverhampton. 

A piece of British Engineering History. 

This saw had the same owner for the last 30+ years and was just on display before I collected it exactly as pictured. 

Untouched by the previous owner and untocuhed by myself - nothing has been disassembled.

Overall in beautiful original cosmetic condition - in my opinion.

Will make a beautiful workshop showpiece for someone.

Not a saw that has been fiddled with and stripped down.

If you want a genuinely untouched British piece of History for your workshop you have found it. Only going up in value.

The saw is missing the chain and the engine does not currently pull over.

It had oil inside the barrel for storage but it is currently tight and not rotating.

l may possibly have a chain for the saw and will endeavour to look.

If I do, I will include the chain in the sale :-)

In my ownership the saw has just been on display.

Visual inspection the saw is in good clean original cosmetic condition and has various marks & damage.

Visually the saw appears complete and it has various marks and damage in line with it's age.

Sold as a collectors item and would make a fabulous restoration project for someone with the necessary skills.

Genuinely untouched other than the checks mentioned above.

Absolutely No other checks have been done.
