Intriguing vintage mid century (1965) original mixed media abstract collage/painting. Depicts an eye catching abstract forest landscape. Very well done with vigorous yet pleasing lines. Nice earthen tone color scheme. Medium is collage (ripped paper) and oil paint on rigid paper board done in an abstract Expressionist style. Initialed and dated ‘R.B ‘65’ at the base in blue ink and signed ‘Ruth Bennett’ and titled ‘The Forest’ in pencil on the verso. Protected behind glass, matted and framed in its original black lacquer thin wood frame. Provenance comes for a western Massachusetts area estate. Ready to hang.
