The knife is in good condition. The blades are sharp and have firm snap. The brass liners have darkened over time and the scales are not cracked or split. The bolsters have typical scratches and some darkening where they meet the scales. This may be do to sitting for a long time stored in the plastic case. The sheepsfoot blade tang has " Robt. Klaas Solingen " below the Kissing Crane logo and on the pile side " 1424XII ". That is the date code for a 1973 produced knife. There is also a blade etching with " Premium Quality Hand Forged " between two Kissing Crane logos. The pen blade has the Kissing Crane logo with " Germany " below on the pile side. It is in the original plastic sleeve and 3 7/16 inches long when closed.
