Here’s one of my personal vehicles up for sale.
A 2022 Rivian R1T Launch Edition with just
19,000 miles. Excellent condition. No wear, no scratches. No dings. No rock
chips.
White with rare beautiful Forest Edge interior.
After waiting three years for the vehicle from
the time I ordered, it selected pretty much all options available as that’s the
way they wanted to sell the first ones and I didn’t want to delay my delivery.
Options included:
$2,000 – Forest Edge interior option
$2,500 - Underbody shield.
$3,000 - Powered tonneau.
$150 – Field Kit
This truck still has the 12v power plugs in the
frunk and under the front console (removed from later versions)
I added PPF to the front facing areas of the
truck to protect the paint. Did it myself, so not going to say it’s the best
job in the world. Most of it came out pretty well except the mirrors do have
some creases. I’m not talented enough to apply it to curved surfaces. But, for
me, it was about protecting the paint. From 3-5 feet back, you can’t see the
creases. From closer up, it’s more notable. Could easily be peeled off and
redone by a professional if so desired.
As you can see in the photos, the center area
of the front is black. That was simply done with Vinyl that was placed on top
of the PPF. If the look is not for your, can VERY SIMPLY be peeled off and
returned to the original factory look. Personally, I wasn’t sure at first, but
then the look grew on me and I got so many compliments from people that saw it
in person, so I’ve left it on. Been on for 7 or 8 months. Gives the truck a
more traditional truck appearance than having an all-white front end. Also, helps
blend in the controversial headlight design from Rivian.
I also added PPF to the center portion of the
tailgate. Since the Rivian’s do not have a handle or latch to open/close the
tailgate, requires putting your hands on the paint to close the tailgate. My
worry was scratching the paint over time if there was dirt on the truck when
closing. Protects the paint from any scratching.
As the Launch Edition, it has all the options
available, including four motors with 835 horsepower. 300+ miles in range. And
it actually gets that at 70 MPH on the highway.
Many add-on goodies included in the sale.
I’m always one that likes to personalize my
vehicles. Generally do so in small ways that make a difference, but are easily
reversible for those that would prefer the vehicle be 100% stock.
I am very anal when it comes to particulars on
my vehicles and getting just the right look.
I went through FOUR sets of wheels before
finally settling on a set that I liked. Same with tires. Tried mudder style
tires which looked GREAT, but couldn’t deal with the noise they made. Went back
to a factory matching Pirelli tire, yet one series size down as the stock 20”
tires, in my opinion, at 34” diameter, seemed unproportionately big for this
truck. Going down one series size to a 33” tire, fits the truck perfectly and
matches the size Rivian offers on their 21” and 22” wheel options.
I have a couple of lengthy threads on the
Rivian forum that describe what I went through on this truck. Not easy since it
was so new and few aftermarket accessories are made for it. Tried multiple bed
mat options before coming up with one that I liked. Several center console
organizers. Camp speaker replacement storage drawer. Tired multiple floor
console organizers. Etc, etc.
Built when they still included the automatic
Tonneau covers. This one works great. (I am always careful to make sure it’s
clean before retracting and do spray oil the rails every few months. As with all
Rivian’s, has the air compressor. Brand new, never used.
Have the Rivian first aid accessory / field kit that
goes in the passenger front door. Never used.
Below are links to the various forum threads that I've started, sharing the modifications I've made. Many more photos in those threads.

And this one…..
and this one of the running board install…
and this one of the blacked out front end….
List of added features:
Custom black powder coated 20” wheels with an
18mm offset that pushes the wheels out by 22mm, giving the truck a more
aggressive “off-road” oriented stance. Looks amazing. Tires resized to match
Rivian’s 21 and 22 inch wheel options with 275/60/20’s
EVSportline RMaxx Running boards – 3rd
set installed in California. $1,300.
Rivian All-Weather floor mats – $250
Aftermarket front trunk (Frunk) All-weather
mat.
Center console tray with two plastic bins below
that allow for more separation and organization of items in the very deep
center console.
Floor console organizer – Tried several of
these. Will include the last two. One being Twraps multi-level version with
another being a portable foldable organizer that fits the space well. The Twraps versions is included as are the upper level trays that go on top of it. Will also include the foldable portable organizer that fits the space very well.
Twraps – Camp speaker replacement storage
drawer. I never used the camp speaker. With no glove box in the Rivian, is a
nice additional space to store items out of sight. Camp speaker also included
(brand new, never used)
Peak magnetic phone mount – Fits perfectly
between the two screens.
USB flashdrive – to record security videos.
The outlets in the Rivian are very sensitive.
Found that 3-prong to 2-prong adapters cause far fewer faults with the truck.
Will include at least one of those (may have a couple of them).
No spare tire, but do have all the jacking
hardware that Rivian offers with the spare tire. Everything is there, except a
spare tire itself.
One Jacking puck – purchased from EVSportline.
I absolutely LOVE this truck. The ride quality
from the full air suspension is AMAZING. Rides better than most luxury cars.
The adjustable height capability is a great feature to utilize.
Unfortunately, timing is forcing me to sell it
as I am having to restructure my finances over the next few months for other
investments, thus need to get this truck off the books. I absolutely will be
buying another one once I’ve completed the business investments I’m working on.
Truck is paid off, title in-hand.
As noted, I am very anal about my personal
vehicles and take extremely good care of them. While it’s an off-road oriented
truck, for me, it’s a lifestyle truck. Just love the look of it. Never been
off-road. I can’t remember if I’ve “floored it” (floored the throttle pedal) even once on it. I know I did on a loaner, but has so much more power than I can
ever use and have never had a need or desire to go from 0-60 in 3.0 seconds!!
Truck has been garaged nearly its entire life.
Only hand washed. Walking around the truck, I can’t find any “flaws” in the
truck. Still looks as close to a new one as you could expect. With the running
boards, I don’t wear out the side seat bolsters either. They still look new, as
does most of the truck.
As I tried 4 or 5 sets of wheels and tires
before settling on the set that is on it, the tires only have about 10,000
miles on them.
The wheels /tires shown in the photos is the only set of wheels / tires included. They do have TPMS. I have access to acquire a set of stock 21” black powder coated wheels / tires. The tires have about 7,000 miles on them. They can be purchased SEPARATELY for $1,500 if so desired. I never expected to sell the truck, so had no need to keep them as I love the wheels / tires that are on it.
Purchased new in June, 2022, so it has 2 years
left on the factory warranty for worry free driving.
Photos of accessories shown are all items that ARE included with the sale.
Mobile charger is included. A home wall charger is NOT included.
Have submitted my request for the Tesla adapter to be able to use the Tesla Supercharging network. I am on the list to receive it, but have not yet received notification that my number has come up. They will notify me when it does and then ship it to me. It will likely come after the auction ends. Could be weeks or months? No idea. Either way, it's not a "condition" of this sale transaction, however, whenever I do receive it from Rivian, I will ship it to the new owner. Thus, assuming Rivian follows through and does sent them as promised, it will be sent to the new owner free of charge. It just will not be available prior to the end of the auction. To buy one is about $250 I believe.
CLEAN TITLE, IN HAND. NO LOANS.
$300 DEPOSIT IS DUE IMMEDIATELY UPON AUCTION END TO CONFIRM THE SALE. REMAINING BALANCE IS DUE, VIA CASH UPON DELIVERY OR WIRE TRANSFER WITHIN 7 DAYS OF AUCTION END (NO CASHIER'S CHECKS). DEPOSIT IS NOT REFUNDABLE UNLESS WE MUTUALLY AGREE TO NOT COMPLETE THE SALE. CHECK MY FEEDBACK. I AM VERY TRANSPARENT. IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY WITH THE CAR WHEN YOU COME TO PICK IT UP, I WON'T HOLD YOU TO THE SALE AND WILL REFUND THE DEPOSIT. I WANT THE BUYER TO BE HAPPY WITH THEIR PURCHASE. IT IS NOT REFUNDABLE IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION AND SIMPLY CHANGE YOUR MIND OR DIDN'T READ THE DETAILS ABOVE BEFORE BIDDING OR ANY OTHER REASON THAT IS SOLELY DUE TO THE BUYER'S ACTIONS AND NOT OF MY OWN DOING. POINT BEING, PLEASE DON'T BID UNLESS YOU HAVE READ THE LISTING IN ITS ENTIRETY AND ARE READY AND ABLE TO COMPLETE THE SALE IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION. THANK YOU!
BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR PICKING UP THE VEHICLE AND/OR MAKING ARRANGEMENTS TO HAVE IT SHIPPED / TRANSPORTED TO YOUR LOCATION. BUYER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH PICKING UP THE TRUCK OR HAVING IT SHIPPED / TRANSPORTED TO THE BUYER'S LOCATION.
PLEASE, ONLY BID IF YOU ARE SERIOUS AND CAPABLE OF COMPLETING THE SALE. DEPOSIT IS NON-REFUNDABLE UNLESS MUTUALLY AGREED UPON TO CANCEL THE SALE. CHECK MY FEEDBACK. I TEND TO UNDER-PROMISE AND OVER-DELIVER. IF YOU SIMPLY CHANGE YOUR MIND OR ARE NOT ABLE TO COMPLETE THE SALE, THROUGH NO FAULT OF MY OWN, DEPOSIT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED. I HOWEVER, AM REASONABLE AND WILL ASSIST IN ANY WAY THAT I CAN. IF IT TAKES LONGER THAN 7 DAYS, I’LL WORK WITH YOU. IF FOR ANY REASON, YOU SEE THE TRUCK AND FIND SOMETHING YOU DON’T LIKE, I WON’T HOLD YOU TO THE SALE. HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE IS EXACTLY AS DESCRIBED AND AS THE PHOTOS SHOW, SO I KNOW THAT WON’T BE THE CASE. BY BIDDING ON THE TRUCK, YOU CONTRACTUALLY AGREE TO PURCHASE THE VEHICLE IF YOU ARE THE HIGH BIDDER AND WIN THE AUCTION. UNFORTUNATELY, THERE ARE PEOPLE THAT SIMPLY FLAKE AND DO NOT PROCEED WITH THE PURCAHSE AFTER OUTBIDDING ALL OTHERS, WHICH IS COSTLY IN BOTH MONEY AND TIME TO THE SELLER. SOME APPARENTLY THINK IT IS A GAME. THE NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT IS TO HOPEFULLY DISCOURAGE THOSE TYPES OF EBAYERS FROM PARICIPATING.
PLEASE - ONLY BID IF YOU PLAN TO FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THE PURCHASE. BIDDING IS A BINDING CONTRACT TO BUY THE CAR IF YOU WIN THE AUCTION. FOR A CAR AT THIS VERY LOW PRICE POINT, I CAN'T AFFORD TO WASTE TWO WEEKS IN HAVING TO RELIST AND/OR PAY LISTING FEES AGAIN. I KINDLY ASK THAT BIDDERS SHOW RESPECT AND COMPASSION AND PLEASE ONLY BID IF YOU ARE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE SALE.
IF YOU HAVE ZERO FEEDBACK, PLEASE MESSAGE ME THROUGH EBAY TO CONFIRM THAT YOUR BIDS ARE VALID. BIDS FROM NEW MEMBERS OR THOSE WITH NO FEEDBACK MAY BE CANCELLED IF THE BIDDER DOES NOT COMMUNICATE WITH ME BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS.
CORRECTION. FACTORY WARRANTY IS 5 YEARS / 60,000 MILES. I WAS THINKING IT WAS 4 / 50,000. NEW BUYER WILL HAVE THREE YEARS OF WARRANTY REMAINING AND 40,000 MILES.
Sorry, somehow I accidentally inserted two generic interior photos. Ebay won't let me delete photos on an active listing. Fortunately, I had two spaces available to add photos. The last two photos are correct interior photos, literally just taken 10 minutes ago. I apologize for any confusion. Disregard the first two interior photos. Thanks for your understanding
Have lowered the reserve. May remove it all together tomorrow. In any case, even if the reserve remains, place your bids to win as if there is no reserve. If the reserve is not met, will be offering it to the highest bidder regardless. I doubt that will be the case as it's already very close to the reserve anyway. Thank you.
