Up for sale is a legendary BetterLight digital scanning back. This model is the Super 6K-HS, capable of producing a 6000x9000 Pixel scan at native resolution or 9000x12000 with the Enhanced Resolution feature. The images are true 48bit files generated by the lovely trilinear CCD. This provides amazing color data with no interpolation the you will find in other sensors. The images from this scanner are truly mind blowing despite being outdated tech.  

Note from Larry Guyer - "The 6150 model has the newer, more sensitive sensor rated at 200 ISO. The previous is 100 ISO."

During my testing its proved too be functional in all aspects. I did notice some issues with the Super Fast Preview scan and preview scans using line rates above 1/160th. Only 3/4 pf the preview data is rendered, but final scans had no issues.  I would recommend not using the fast preview and fast line rates are rarely used.

 I have also modified the AC power cord for a joint connection. I was using this device in the field and would connect it to a battery supply with an adjustable voltage output on it. This power bank is not included, but I can provide additional connectors should you choose to do the same. 

Betterlight software is available online. 

The CCD is in good shape with no imperfections or scan lines. Any faint scan lines have always been resolved by cleaning the sensor. 

As of earlier this year, BetterLight service is still available through Archetype Imaging. I would suggest reaching out to them if you have any questions regarding service and repair. Groups.io has a BetterLight users forum. No IR blocking filter is included. 

This is truly a lovely piece of tech and a rare opportunity for any. Usb makes it easy to use without the SCSI to PC interface seen in older models. I wish it will in it's new home.
