I have for sale a signed enamel dial "Waltham vanguard, 23jewels" and this enamel dial is almost perfect with a small really hard to see faint line at the 6:30 position and only 7mm long. The hands are thick railroad pieces and for this model Vanguard railroad movement. Across this gold filled case (10K) is 52mm so it is a 16 size for sure easy to carry in a pocket. The case again is signed "Waltham " on the inside fo the back of this screw in case. The serial number for this case is 9,398,147 and made for Waltham factory by the "J.Boss, Keystone" case factory. The movement is a genuine railroad and stem wind and lever set at the 11 position. This Waltham movement is a caliber 1908 with 23 clean and inspected jewels and adjusted to 8 positions! The serial number for this serviced movement is 32,168,008 which tells me this piece was made at the Waltham USA factory near Boston in the year 1945. On a closing note the crystal is glass and perfect not a flaw.
