A rare and comprehensive set of 18 antique maps of Scotland, printed in high detail and color, on linen pages. This ordnance survey dates to 1924 and was compiled by the Southhampton Office, and published by Edward Stanford Ltd. This book measures 15-1/2" x 14" and maps extend across both pages, and sometimes include an additional foldout. I brought this map back from a recent trip to the Orkney Islands!
All 18 folio maps of Scotland are present and accounted for. These are beautifully detailed maps with excellent color and little to no fading or foxing. Cover boards have light creases, bumped corners, a small piece of loose cloth (front top right), and one 4" split on the spine. Binding is split, but all maps WITH the exception of folio 13 are still attached. Blank forepage has severe creases. Nearly all maps are in very good condition and do not have creases or tears. A red stain is present on the top left and right corner of many, but not all pages. All condition issues are shown in the images. I guarantee shipment within 3 business days of payment, but typically ship MUCH faster! Shipping costs will be as reasonable as possible, but may allow extra space for necessary bubble wrap and peanuts.
