This comic book comes from what we are dubbing the "Checkerboard Collection"... an original owner collection of approximately 150 DC silver age comics that almost exclusively came from DC's "checkerboard" period, 1966 to 1967.  The "checkerboard" issues are easily identifiable for the "checkered flag" strip that ran across the top edge of each issue in an attempt by DC to increase visibility of their comics on crowded newsstands.  We picked up this collection on Long Island in 2006 and have had it in storage ever since.  The books are almost entirely in mid-to-high grade and feature tight bright covers and pages.  Almost all the major DC titles are present... Action, Batman, Justice League, Superman, Teen Titans, just to name a few.  You can easily locate these comics in our listings by using the "Checkerboard" search term.  This is the first time these original owner books have been brought to market... enjoy them!

SHIPPING/POST-SALE:  All of our comics come bagged with backing boards to insure archival protection.  An invoice will be issued shortly after purchase.  Domestic shipping is by USPS.  International shipping is by USPS and charges are determined based on destination and weight; email us for a quote.  All shipments are carefully packaged.  Packages generally ship within a few days following receipt of payment.  We happily combine shipping charges for multiple purchases. 

 

GRADING: We grade VERY STRICTLY using CGC/Overstreet comic book grading standards.  These strict standards are well-developed and widely accepted.  We have been major collectors of comic books for over forty years and if there's one turn off from this great hobby it's getting an overgraded comic in the mail.  We hate when it happens to us and will do our very best to make sure we don't do it to you.  We have submitted hundreds of comics to CGC for grading and know how they apply their grades.  Our VF/NM will not look like a Fine (and it could very well qualify as a NM- or NM).  We are confident that you will not be disappointed with our grading.
