A guitar that combines traditional style with modern technology
Yamaha's first domestically produced folk guitar, the FG180, released in 1966.
This guitar is based on the model also known as the Red Label and incorporates modern technology.
The top panel is made of solid Sitka spruce with A.R.E.
Yamaha's proprietary wood modification treatment called A.R.E (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) has been applied.
It has a rich sound that sounds like it has been played for many years, and a powerful sound with the warm mid-low range that is unique to mahogany.
It is an all-single board body with mahogany veneer on the sides and back.
The bracing is a newly developed scalloped bracing that has been repeatedly improved by combining a pseudo-prototype using the latest acoustic analysis simulation technology and a prototype made by woodworking.
The pickup is equipped with a newly developed Atmosfeel.
The 3-way pickup system features an under-saddle piezo sensor for mid-low range, a microphone mounted on the preamp for low range, and a uniquely developed extremely thin contact sensor for high range.Three different pickups ensure each range. I'll capture it.
By adding a contact sensor made of thin and durable piezoelectric synthetic paper inside, we can detect clusters of string vibrations emitted from the sound hole that could not be picked up by conventional pickups, the lingering sound of each string, and the touch when fingering. Reproduces the airiness and delicate sound brought about by the high-frequency overtone components.

The controller section allows you to easily create sounds by mixing each pickup with very simple operations.

The BassEQ controller allows you to adjust the peak EQ, allowing you to create a sound with peace of mind by adjusting the center frequency band according to your use case.

If you look closely, there are some areas where there are very slight scratches, but there are no noticeable scratches or damage, and it maintains a beautiful appearance.
The neck is almost straight and there is no wear on the frets.
The string height is approximately 2.8mm on the 6th string side and 2.2mm on the 1st string side.
There is also plenty of room in the saddle, so it is possible to lower the string height.
There is no problem with the pickup operation.
