“ Satsuma’’ Ware is a type os Japanese Pottery originally from Satsuma Province, Southern Kyushu. It can be divided into two distinct categories; the original plain dark clay early Satsuma made in Satsuma from around 1600s, and the elaborately decorated export Satsuma ivory -bodied pieces which began to be produced in the nineteenth century in various Japanese cities. By adapting their gilled polychromatic enamel overglaze designs to appeal to the lashes of western consumers, manufactures of the latter made Satsuma ware one of the most recognized and profitable export products of Japan for centuries, and even became one of the key sources of funding for the Meiji period reforms.

This Interesting Antique Japanese Cobalt Blue Satsuma Vase By Kinkozan Vase With Two Panels. Porcelain baluster shape with a dark cobalt blue ground with gilt decorative motifs; and further embellished with hand- painted palatial garden scenes and two ducks , depicting two Japanese Females and two males Figures wearing elaborate Japanese Kimono garment. Around the side in between two panels and the top decorated with the gold flowers under the dark blue glaze. Measure is 7.25” tall & 3.75” wide on the body & 1.75 wide at the opening and 2.25” wide at the base. Typical Marks ; Signed Kinkozan Zo at the base.

There is no chips, no cracks, damage or any kind of repair. The vase looks as old age. Mint condition.
