ABOUT PRIM

The history of the brand PRIM started in 1949 when factory Chronotechna (renamed to Elton in 1969) in Nové Město nad Metují had opening ceremony. The factory very soon started to specialise in manufacturing high-quallity mechanical wristwatches, a thing which was very rare at that time. Only eight countries in the world could secure mass production of high-quallity mechanical wristwatches back then. Switzerland, Germany, France, Great Britain, Soviet Union , Japan, USA and thanks to Elton, small country Czechoslovakia numbered amongst them.
