Condition Grading for Records and CDs

for individual item condition see Condition Note Above. We use the Goldmine standard for grading as follows

• Mint (M) : Perfect in every way, Never been played, even still sealed. Insert/Inlay/Booklet/Sleeve/Digipak: Perfect. No wear, marks, or any other imperfections

• Near Mint (NM or M-) : Near perfect. No obvious signs of use, it may have been played - but it has been handled very carefully. Sleeve/Cover/Insert/Inlay/Booklet/Digipak will be Near Perfect. No obvious wear, it may have only the slightest of marks from handling

• Very Good Plus (VG+) : The item will likely have a few minor scuffs/scratches. Will have been played, but handled with good care - and certainly not abused. Sleeve/Cover/Insert/Inlay/Booklet/Digipak will have Slight wear, marks, indentations, it may possibly have a small cut-out hole (or similar)

• Very Good (VG) : Quite a few light scuffs/scratches, or several more-pronounced scratches. Will play through without problems. This has obviously been played, but not handled as carefully as a VG+. On Vinyl there will likely be audible noise, pops, clicks or crackles especially in quiet pasages Sleeve/Cover/Insert/Inlay/Booklet/Digipak will have more wear, marks, indentations than a VG+. Also may have slight fading, a small tear/rip, or some writing

• Good (G), Good Plus (G+) : Will have lot of visible scuffs/scratches. However it will still play through without problems. The item will not have been handled with much care. Sleeve/Cover/Insert/Inlay/Booklet/Digipak if present is  well worn, marked, more obvious indentations, fading, writing, than a VG - possibly a more significant tear/rip

CD plastic Jewel Cases are not graded as they are mostly replaceable, however we will always replace any badly scratched or damaged / broken cases before shipping
