Lisa Larson is the best known ceramicist in Sweden. Lisa was born in 1931 and started working at Gustavsberg in 1954. Lisa Larson has been as important to Swedish ceramics as Astrid Lindgren has been to Swedish literature. Her sculptures are recognized by most Swedes. Lisa Larson is very popular in Japan where several special exhibitions of her work have been exhibited. Today, quantities of household items and her designs are newly produced but this is a unique item handcrafted by Lisa herself when she worked at Gustavsberg.
