For sale I have my 1990 Pontiac Trans Sport SE 3.1 V6 MPV project car. I bought this car from a local American car collector who had owned it for well over a decade and previously bought it off another local chap. The car has been dry stored since his ownership. I bought the car last summer and have never got around to even making a start on it due to uni commitments. As much as I hate to sell it (I think it's incredibly cool), I am losing my storage space next month and plan to leave the country in about 12 months time, so it'll never get finished by me. Listed price is me taking a massive loss already.

It does run and drive but requires a boost pack as the battery is goosed. I haven't driven it far, only out of the old unit and into mine. Will obviously need a recommission before going back on the road; tyres, brakes, servicing, etc..

For some reason, a couple of owners ago, they removed all of the door handles and made a little bit of a mess on the passenger door and it will need a tiny smidge of fibre glass. There's an absolute abundance of locking mechanisms and brand new handles so should be everything to put it back together.

The back box is missing, the radio isn't wired in and there is a few loose interior trims. The trays from the rear seats also seem to have gone missing but all the door cards appear to be present.

Update 05/05/24: Forgot to mention in the original advert that the speedo locks can be erratic, looks as if you're driving when you're not. There is a new ECM with the car so this possibly is the fix. There's also extra random parts with the car that will have been accumulated over the years. I also have a Haynes manual and owners manual.

Externally, the car sits on some really nice Borbet A alloys which would look great with a polish. There's some lacquer peel here and there (mainly front wings from memory) and a cut-out in the rear bumper where a custom exhaust used to sit. The body's on these are composite so fortunately they don't rust!

The car isn't registered in the UK however, there are no duties to be paid. In my ownership I have obtained a NOVA number and a certificate from a verified source so that the car can be registered once it's MOT'd. I was told you can do it without an MOT but my interpretation of the DVLA website was different - maybe I'm wrong.

Have included the VIN number in the images so you can do whatever checks you wish.

As you can probably tell by this point, it's a very honest sale and clearly a project for someone with the skills. I haven't had anything but dreamers and chancers on other platforms. Will need trailering away or a recovery truck - bring an extra strap for the doors.

Viewings can be arranged before the listing ends within reasonable hours as it's not stored at my property, please don't bid if you want to win the item and then try knocking the price down on arrival.

Cash or bank transfer upon collection. Please bring a booster pack if you want to drive it onto the truck / trailer. Ideally to be collected within a week of the auction ending unless otherwise arranged.

Any questions, please ask and I'll try my best to answer them.

Cheers,

Kieran.
