Lightweight Fernweg 60mm Schwarz rim brake tubular wheelset. These are truly excellent condition. They look like new. Fitted with brand-new unused tufo tubular tyres. Come with brand-new unused Lightweight brake pads, used lightweight bag and skewers. Additional new SRAM freehub if sold at asking price. One of the skewers has a few marks but works fine, see pictures.

These wheels without tyres weigh a total of 1398g, that’s for both wheels (not one) which is amazing considering these are 60mm deep.

I have both the Campagnolo and SRAM XDR freehubs. The Campagnolo free hub is lightly used with new bearings. The SRAM freehub is brand-new and unused . NOTE: these will come with the Campagnolo freehub, although I will supply, and fit if required the SRAM freehub if bought at the full asking price. Otherwise the SRAM freehub is negotiable (please ask). Also note that Lightweight wheels use standard DT Swiss 240/180 internals so any free hub or spares from these model hubs will fit.

These wheels have never seen wet conditions. They’ve been babied all of their life and cost an absolute fortune when new (£4800). Both wheels run 100% true. The brake surfaces are perfect with little to no wear.

I recently sent the wheels back to Lightweight in Germany for a routine full service and check (see receipts in pictures). Lightweight reconditioned the rear brake rim surface and replaced the rear wheel bearings including the Campagnolo free hub bearings. They also filled a tiny stone chip to the rear aerofoil which was approximately 5mm x 2.5mm in size and smoothed the edge profile on one spoke. The filler they used is so small that I can hardly photograph it, but I’ve done my best in the pictures. This was simply in the aerofoil and non structural. All of this was fully documented in the receipts and professionally reconditioned by the original manufacture, Lightweight of Germany. These haven’t turned a wheel since. Pictures were taken earlier this week.

I don’t know what else to say, they are absolute gems, the best and fastest rim brake wheelset that money can buy running on the best ceramic hubs, supplied with new tyres and brake pads along with documented history. You ain’t going to find anything better.

I’ve photographed the original box although please note that with the tubular tyres fitted they will not fit inside this box. If you collect, I’m happy for you to have this box although if sent via postage, they will come in a larger plain wheelbox.

I’m not 100% sure of the postage costs but with something this good I will only use either FedEx or UPS. I’m not risking any other company so I’ve calculated postage at approximately £35. If it’s less I’ll refund the extra paid. If it’s more I’ll swallow the additional cost.
