For your consideration is a beautiful and unique art nouveau French femme fatale boudoir/table lamp. Composed of spelter metal and mounted to a wooden base. Circa somewhere between 1880-1920 and most likely came from France. The piece is signed A. Lesueur. This artist crafted some other female sculptures during this time period, however, I've located only one example of a similar lamp by them and it has a bulb socket coming out behind her head vs. in front of her. I can send you a screenshot or link to the page if you would like to see it. This lamp measures 13 1/2" tall and 6 1/2" wide at the bottom of the base. There is wear and missing paint consistent with age. The cord was updated at some point and the screws holding the sculpture to the base also appear to be replacements. There is not an on/off button or knob, so the lamp would strictly be controlled by a wall switch. The light bulb shown will be included in the sale.
