Description: A fabulous George IV silver teapot by respected maker Benjamin Smith. Bullet shape with a fluted body and a raised floral rim, the lid with a raised hinge and acorn finial. Cartouches either side one with a contemporary armorial, the other with two crests and a motto, both with wear to the engraving. Original fruitwood handle, the spout with acanthus detail, all on a raised collet foot. Fabulous weight, quality and condition. Capacity is a bit over 1.2 litres/1 pint. Amazing period teapot, the handle with no play, the lid hinge in good order, pours nicely, ready to be used.
