A very scarce early-war variant of the Kriegsmarine 7x50 binoculars, with the enlarged oculars, and which also come fitted with the rarely seen early Benutzer cover that was produced from leather!

A distinctive variant that is identical to that which can be seen in period photos; slung around the neck of U-boat ace Korvettenkapitän Reinhard Hardegen, aboard U-123, as shown.

This particular pair is very nicely inscribed with the Carl Zeiss Jena maker's logo, as well as retaining fully intact KM and Nordsee 'N' property markings. The 'T' designation for coated lenses is also present.

The optics still remain in nice useable order, producing a good image.

Indeed, in over a decade of collecting optics, this is the only example of this specific variant that we have ever been able to obtain, such is its rarity.

One that's not to be missed for any collectors of U-boat related items or optics!

Many thanks for looking and please feel free to check out our other WWII German optics, accessories etc.

Please note this item is also listed elsewhere online and is likely to be removed without any prior warning.
