VINTAGE 1994 WHITE'S SPECTRUM * EAGLE DEEP SEEKING V.L.F. MOTION DISCRIMINATOR If you are an old school treasure hunter, but refuse to compromise on depth you better not miss this solid gold opportunity! |
I
have been a metal detector dealer since the late
1960's and I can assure you that this detector is
working correctly in every way. Please note: this detector is being sold by one of the oldest and largest multi-line dealers in the Mid-West You are 'not' buying from a pawn shop, Amazon, or someone who cannot be certain the detector is ok. Here is your chance to bid without risk! THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST RESPECTED OF THE WHITE'S METAL DETECTORS. Of the Eagle series, the original is simple and powerful! SOME VETERAN WHITES USERS BELIEVE THIS MAY BE ONE OF THE FINEST MACHINES WHITES HAS EVER MADE, WITH DEPTH EQUAL TO THAT OF THE XLT Actually this is an early & first version of the XLT! CHANCES ARE, THE WINNER OF THIS AUCTION WILL BE SOMEONE WHO HAD OWNED ONE OF THESE GREAT DETECTORS IN THE PAST, AND IS WISHING THEY STILL HAD ONE! |
This detector will match
or surpass many of the current detectors on the market today for depth and accuracy This detector has been completely, professionally, checked out, cleaned, tuned and calibrated! I sold many of these Spectrum Eagles back at this time. I envied anyone who could afford one, they were simply the finest metal detectors in the world. The component quality, the engineering quality, and the hands-on build quality . . . they were second to none! To this day, many modern detector brands are boasting features this detector had in 1994! One of my economist friends and I were talking about, "what would the sale price be if this detector was built today in 2024? The MSRP in 1994 was $895.00 today it would be $3,500.00!! Guess what; there is no company that could match this quality build today anywhere! NONE! FOLKS; Some would call this detector "OLD SCHOOL" but in many ways it is very current! The detectors in our hobby today are still chasing this one's tail! Here is a few items that this detector pioneered. It is a V.L.F. metal
detector which operates at 6.59 KHz:
This exact frequency was chosen simply because
its power band is centered within the target
viewing SPECTRUM,
giving it power-enough to locate low conductivity
targets (nickels, gold jewelry), but also able to
respond to deep copper and silver targets which
are seen by detectors on the opposite end of the SPECTRUM.
This is a Phase Delay Discriminator: This is the state of the art technology which is often called "Motion Discrimination." It has a digital processor that is both efficient and has a very quick recovery timing for effective hunting in trashy areas. Target Signature Number Assignment: The Eagle series was the first detector to give users the target signature a 'number assignment' for enhanced target definition. This was perfected by Whites simply because many hunters missed the subtle changes in their analog meter's needle position . . which they used for more accurate target ID. Well, this V.D.I Number Assignment is like High Definition Target Identification! Factory Pre-Program Mode Choices: 1. COIN & JEWELRY 2. JEWELRY & BEACH 3. RELIC HUNTING 4. PROSPECTING 5. USER STORAGE PROGRAM #1 6. USER STORAGE PROGRAM #2 Basic Adjustments 1. Volume 2. Threshold Level 3. Audio Tone Level 4. Audio Discrimination (Off - On) 5. Silent Search Audio 6. Mixed Mode Audio 7. AC (ACTION) Sensitivity (Sensitivity Level while hunting with coil in motion) 8. DC (DEAD CENTER) Pin-Point Sensitivity. 9. Pro Tuning Options AUDIO SELECTION 1. S.A.T. (Self Adjusted Threshold) ON - OFF 2. S.A.T. SPEED (Slow or Fast Tune Speed) beneficial for prospecting in black sand streaks 3. TONE ID On - OFF 4. V.C.O. (voltage controlled oscillation) Rolling, changing pitch audio . . . great for pinpointing! 5. ABSOLUTE VALUE for pairing with aftermarket coils for target ID accuracy 6. MODULATION ON - OFF (when ON the distant targets are more faint, when OFF all targets sound alike) Turned "On" is deeper if you can hear OK) G.E.B. and TRACKING OPTIONS 1. AUTOTRAC ON - OFF (Computer monitors coil sensitivity and adjusts according to changing mineral conditions for max depth 2. AUTOTRAC VIEW (Watch autotrac's activity, to see if speed should be adjusted) 3. AUTOTRAC SPEED ADJUST 4. AUTOTRAC OFFSET Detector can have speed slowed to correct "after-the-fact" in a prospecting "Follow the Pay Streak" function. (this is for following black sand streaks) 5. MANUAL GROUND BALANCE (prospectors can choose slightly positive for getting tiny sub-grain gold) DISCRIMINATION PROGRAMMING 1. EDIT NOTCH WINDOWS (To open or close windows you select) A target window that is closed will reject any target seen behind that notch window. In the upper quadrant there are +95 windows In the lower quadrant there are - 96 windows 2. BLOCK EDITING For rapid editing (great for searching for a known target quickly close all but wanted window) 3. LEARN TO ACCEPT 4. LEARN TO REJECT These are for opening or closing a window waving a sample 5. RECOVERY SPEED Adjust the recovery speed (Faster or Slower) based on coil size. 6. BOTTLE CAP REJECT Makes rusted trash items sound nasty DISPLAY ADJUSTMENTS 1. Visual Display You can turn ON or OFF the target number value and the target ID labels. 2. V.D.I. Sensitivity Under sever electrical or radio interference areas, a detector's system can become unstable which could also make the meter unstable. 3. Ground ID (D.C. Phase) This can be used both the read target depth when pinpointing, but also to measure a reflective ground signature. This can be useful to test for a bad coil. SPECTRUM OPTIONS 1. GRAPH ACCUMULATE repeated passes over any target will sample and accumulate the data shifting onto display. Graph accumulate is perfect in dealing with iron stained ground which creates a tell-tail signature smear. (rusty trash) 2. GRAPH AVERAGING does not accumulate signature data but instead displays the best data average. 3. FADE RATE Speed at which the screen display will refresh after displaying target information. SIGNAL CONTROL 1. HIGH TRANSMIT POWER For normal hunt conditions where your signal is not bleeding another hunter 2. LOW TRANSMIT POWER For group hunts where you wish to maintain friends! 3. FREQUENCY SHIFT Where you have another detector or radio bleeding onto your detector (Find a clean channel) 4. PRE AMP GAIN The most misunderstood! The detectors ears. Buy nature metal detectors hear to much! The range goes from 1 to 15 and the factory default is "1" and very often that is too high! Target label assignment: This is a interpretation of the number assignment to words such as "Quarter" "Half" "Dollar" Push button ground cancel: Ground cancel is simply tuning the search coil (antenna) so that it is not so sensitive that it reads its own reflection from the ground. The other side of ground cancel, is making sure the coil isn't badly "de-tuned" causing it to not see far enough into the ground. This is called 'ground balance' because you are finding that perfect balance between coil sensitivity and soil conditions. Ground Balance Alert: This Detector will warn operator if ground is not suitable for accurate ground balance (metal present) and can also alert user if the mineral presence is extremely low. Auto Trac: Once the detector coil is ground balanced (erasing the ground's signature), an automatic tracking function monitors and adjusts the coil for changing ground conditions. The beach hunter or prospector understands, where on rare occasion, this feature could tune out small gold chains or tiny gold picker nuggets . . . . so, Auto Trac can be fixed in a locked position! Coil Overload: If you are ground canceling over a hidden metal object, the detector alarms you to look for a better spot to tune. This Metal Detector is a classic high-end State-of-the-Art Detector! THIS IS A COMPUTERIZED PROGRAMMABLE DETECTOR! THIS DETECTOR HAS BEEN PREPROGRAMMED BY THE WHITES FACTORY WHICH MAKES IT SIMPLE TO USE! Approximate battery life with 4 C-cells alkaline 9- hours Includes: 4-Cell Alkaline Holder Includes: Manual Copy Frequencies Operating (Detecting) 6.59 KHz \---Audio Normal 412 Hz Range. . . Audio High 824 Hz \---Audio Low 206 Hz COIN HUNTING, PROSPECTING, RELIC HUNTING, CACHE HUNTING BEACH COMBING. . . IT DOES IT ALL! The weight of this detector with batteries is 5 pounds, but, it is so well balanced it is more comfortable than many of the much lighter detectors. USE IT ANYWHERE! BEACHES, PARKS, SCHOOLS, PLAYGROUNDS, FAIR GROUNDS PICNIC AREAS, TRAILS, REST AREAS, OLD HOME SITES! |
