This art glass centerpiece or serving bowl will bring beautiful summer color to your home. It was made and signed by Peggy Karr, a well known glass artist who worked in Randolph, New Jersey for 30 years before retiring and closing her studio in 2016.

The large bowl is hand crafted in a square shape with bountiful fruit bouquets in each corner. It features apples, pineapples, bananas, watermelon, oranges, pears, strawberries, cherries and grapes in shades of red, yellow, pink, orange and blue. With the addition of rich green leaves and a bold black and white checkered border, the decoration stands out dramatically on the clear glass. Small bubbles reminiscent of morning dew add a sense of freshness to complete the design.

Generously sized to make an eye-catching display, the bowl measures almost 18” on the diagonal, 13” square, and 2” tall. Weighing 2 pounds 12 ounces, is a solid and substantial piece. The artist’s signature, “P Karr,” is etched on the rim.

Estimated to have been made around 2000, this bowl is in excellent condition. It has no chips, cracks, fleabites or cloudiness. The colors are rich and deep with no fading, and the signature is crisp and clear. A few light scratches in the well of the bowl are the only evidence of two decades of gentle use.
