You are bidding on my lovely old Rover P6. Originally it was a 2000TC but someone has retrofitted the more powerful 2200TC unit. This gives it a really good turn of speed without the hideous fuel consumption of the V8 (but sadly without the soundtrack). It’s coupled to a manual gearbox. The car has also been fitted with power steering - an electric pump provides pressure to a V8 PAS steering box. It’s a brilliant system!
The white bodywork is pretty smart - there are some bubbles and a couple of bits that have been touched in but not invisibly.
The engine runs well and pulls strongly. It’s just had a full tune up, carb set set up, new plugs and leads etc. It’s also fitted with a Lumenition ignition system.
The interior is ok and appears to have had new carpets at some point recently.

All old cars need work doing somewhere - and this one needs the tracking doing, plus the steering box could do with a tweak as I think there’s a little more play than there should be. The speedo isn’t working (hence the plug in GPS speedo on the dashboard) and I think there is a minor blow on the exhaust. The big thing is the water pump - the bearing has play in it and so at certain revs it’s noisy. It’s still pumping and it’s not got hot in my ownership, but it wants doing. Thankfully it looks like it’s a fairly easy job.

You could drive it away, but the longest journey I’ve done is 10miles. And that is my reason for selling - I just am not using it and my other cars take up too much time. I’ll be sad to see her go though, as I love Rover P6s.

I’m based near Kettering, Northants (just off jct 10 A14) and as it’s an old car, I’d much prefer it if you viewed *first*. All sales are final and so you’ll need to ensure you’re happy first.
