Stereostopic Telescope or Scherenfernrohr better known by the English troops as "Donkey/Rabbit Ears", Model N.1B MKI, produced in 1941 by "Cooke, Troughton and Simms, (CT&S)", for Artillery observers of the English Army.
The periscope, equipped with an adjustable graticule, is complete with a support with micrometric movements which, in fact, had the function of a goniometer for calculating an angle with respect to a targeted objective and, with the aid of a clysimeter or clinometer, the longitudinal position between the observation point and the target point could be measured. Furthermore, thanks to the aid of optical devices such as rangefinders capable of detecting the distance of the chosen target, with a simple exercise in plane trigonometry, it was simple to calculate the difference in altitude and distance between the two points in order to hit the target with the use of artillery.
More simply, this periscope could be used as an observation optics.
It is complete with its original transport case equipped with all possible accessories, as well as its tripod.
Very bright optics and perfectly functioning micrometric shifts.
