Captain Marvel #4 (1968) ~  High Grade Est: FINE/VERY FINE- ~ Namor ~ Colan

I would personally rate this book as a High Grade 7.5 maybe even an 8.0 with the flaws listed below. Overall Presentation and condition is very high on this book. You can decide for yourself from the photos. I've tried to capture them at their worst in the photos

General:

Good Color and Gloss on covers

Inside Pages White and Supple

Tight Binding

Flat Comic (has not been pressed just stored very tightly)

Flaw Notes (not intended to be all inclusive) :

• Some stress marks along spine
  
• Minuscule dent top center cover
  
• Very small blunting on 3 corners
  
• Minimal wear along right edge, mostly slight overhang and poor cutting by publisher (common error in 1967-1970 marvel books)
  
• Small Bend crease (under 2mm) top right corner
• Some reading wear at price box

All grading systems are subjective and I encourage you to examine the Images of the actual comics so you can evaluate grading for yourself. I will increase the amount and type of scans and photos to give an idea of the overall condition in different light so you can see reading stress marks etc. depending upon the overall value of the book(s). Books will be sent in a plastic sleeve at minimum and if currently bagged with a backing board that will be included. Packaging will include the book(s) being packed between layer(s) of stiff cardboard and taped to prevent slippage. Higher value books or orders will have additional packaging materials.  I have had only 1 medium value book damaged in shipping in over 30 years.

I do not modify my books in any way. They all have been read at some point and many have been stored for 30 to 60 years. I store most of my books with 2 books to a sleeve with a backing board in between with with covers facing out front and back to equalize the pressure of them being stored in fairly tight boxes to prevent damage. This has resulted in some books being very flat but none have been "pressed" or modified by cleaning etc. 

Most buyers are very pleased by the quality of the books they receive from me and the accuracy of my descriptions. I worked in early comic book stores in the 1970's as a grader, buyer, and seller. I have been selling my very large personal collection for over 30+ years to private collectors, dealers and at conventions, auction houses and agencies as well as eBay.
