Coffin Tapes are custom, hand-made pieces of collectable art. Any copyrighted media used in the creation of these tapes is being used under the fair use doctrine of the copyright act which allows artists to build on preexisting works, engage with contemporary culture, or provide artistic, political, or social commentary.
Every aspect of a Coffin tape is made as an artistic choice. From the colors of the shells, top flaps, and screws holding the shell together... to the tiny keypins on the spools... Every cover and label are original designs. Even the content of the tape itself from trailers, to movies, to special features.. even the end static, is carefully selected to create a complete aesthetic experience for the collector.
This being said, if it's the movie you want to see... then support them by purchasing a ticket to your favorite theater or picking up the 4k Bluray. That's the way the movie was intended to be watched.

** Coffin tapes are also NOT the original, or even an older, version of the tape ever publicly released. Again, these are hand-made, custom art pieces.
