A lightweight Chas Roberts handmade bike. The frame is a compact with a size equivalent to a 60cm frame with a horizontal top tube. The equivalent horizontal top tube measurement would be roughly 23” (58.5cm). Steerer tube is 19cm long. The lugless frame is handmade from Columbus EL extra lightweight butted steel tubing and finished off in lovely Gunmetal Grey paint with turquoise lettering. There is a slight dent in the top tube which I have tried to show in the photos and a couple of scrapes which I have also shown. The frame without the forks weighs only 1.9kg. There are mudguard and rear pannier carrier eyes. The wheels were hand made by Harry Rowland and are 32 spoke front and 36 spoke rear with Mavic 700c lightweight Open Pro rims with 25mm Gatorskin tyres. The hubs are Shimano 105 in black. Gearing and braking are Shimano 105, with an Ultegra cyclo cross front derailleur. 10 speed rear cassette. Chainrings are 46/34 and I will provide both a 48 tooth Stronglight and a 50 tooth outer chaining also. The pictured lightweight pannier carrier is also included. I will also provide fresh handlebar tape to match the lettering colour. This gives a really comfortable ride. I have used it on summer rides both here and on French Alpine cols. It has not been used as a winter bike or as a commuter. Sale is for collection only from NE London.
