Complete System - Complete system includes tank, riser tube, control head, media, and bypass valve. System is shipped in separate boxes to save on shipping costs and make placing the system easier. (Systems can be loaded upon request, contact us for shipping & handling costs on pre-loaded systems). Fleck 2510 Control - This system uses the automatic Fleck 2510 control for low cost, effective filtration. This head automatically backwashes the system, pushing water through the system in reverse, lifting and cleaning the media. Made by Fleck, the #1 manufacturer of control heads in the US and backed by a 5 year warranty! Due to the general difficulty in backwashing iron filters, we use the Fleck 2510 instead of the Fleck 5600 seen on some systems, because it offers a stronger backwash¹ than the Fleck 5600. 1" Bypass Valve - The included stainless steel bypass valve allows for easy connection of the system and provides a quick and easy means to bypass the system and disconnect the system without needing to cut your plumbing. Structural USA Tank - Durable polyglass tank is made by one of the most popular manufacturer of tanks and comes with a 10 year warranty. Birm® Media - The Birm® media is what does all the work. Using the dissolved oxygen in the water it oxidizes the iron and manganese, which is then easily trapped by the media. Every few days the system backwashes itself to clean off the trapped contaminates, rinsing them down the drain and allowing it to continue working. |

Flow Rates - This system is capable of treating a service flow of 3.9 gallons per minute Continuous flow, and up to 15 gpm intermittent flows. It requires a minimum of 6.3 gallons per minute for backwashing. More information on flow rates can be found below. DIY Installation - We provide detailed installation instructions that allow most homeowners to install this system themselves. All it takes is some basic plumbing skills and some common knowledge! If you don't feel confident installing it yourself most plumbers can install it in about 1-2 hours. |

Service Flow Rate - The rate (in gallons per minute) at which the media can effectively treat your water. The rate given is the continuous rate at which the media can treat the maximum contaminate level. Please note that most systems will allow a higher flow rate through them than the media can treat, so should your water demands exceed the systems capabilities some of the water will pass through untreated. NOTES: Service flow rates are based on the manufacturers recommendation for maximum contaminate removal, lower contaminate levels may be effectively treated at higher flow rates. Flow rates given are continuously treatable, higher flow rates may be treated for short periods of time. |
Backwash Flow Rate - The minimum rate (in gallons per minute) that needs to be available for proper backwashing of the system. This is not a constant rate, your water source just needs to be capable of supplying the shown rate for backwashing. NOTES: Using a system with less than the recommended backwash rate may be possible, however, doing so will decrease media life and will negate the 30-day satisfaction guarantee. (The warranties on the tank and control head will remain unaffected) |
