Catalytic carbon is specially made for removal of chloramines and low levels of hydrogen sulfide (rotten egg odor). Synthetic carbon outperforms standard activated carbon, removing chloramines more efficiently and lasting longer in the presence of sulfur!

Complete System - Complete system includes tank, riser tube, control head, media, and bypass valve. System is shipped in separate boxes to save on shipping costs and make placing the system easier. Removes a Wide Range of Contaminates - Catalytic carbon tank systems remove a wide range of contaminates, including sulfur, chlorine, chloramines, pesticides, herbicides, organics, MTBE, and THM. It also removes most other chemicals, tastes and odors, and is an excellent system for general filtration.

Longer Lasting & More Effective Than Standard Carbon - Catalytic carbon is specially designed and performs better than a standard high activity carbon system, with more effective removal of chlorine and chloramines and a higher capacity for sulfur. This means more effective treatment of higher contaminate loads, as well as fewer media changes!

Fleck 5600SXT Digital Control - The SXT controller is the newest controller from Fleck and is built on the tried and true 5600 valve. These valve have an outstanding 5 year warranty and have been tested to run continuously up to 27 years! In addition, the SXT controller offers some great features, including a backlit LCD display, touchpad controls, 48 hour internal power backup, and a user friendly interface.

1" Bypass Valve - The included stainless steel bypass valve allows for easy connection of the system and provides a quick and easy means to bypass the system and disconnect the system without needing to cut your plumbing. ¾" is available.

1.5 ft.³ Catalytic Carbon Media - Catalytic carbon is a synthetic carbon media that is specially designed for chloramine and sulfur removal. The media created adsorbs the contaminates in the water, ensuring cleaner, safer water.

Flow Rates - This system is capable of treating a service flow rate of 6GPM. It requires a minimum of 5GPM for backwashing. More information on flow rates can be found at right.

DIY Installation - We provide detailed installation instructions that allow most homeowners to install this system themselves. All it takes is some basic plumbing skills and some common knowledge! If you don't feel confident installing it yourself most plumbers can install it in about 1-2 hours.

Service Flow Rates
The maximum rate (in gallons per minute) at which the media can effectively treat your water. Depending on water conditions actual service flow rates may be lower. Please note that most systems will allow a higher flow rate through them than the media can treat, so should your water demands exceed the systems capabilities some of the water will pass through untreated. NOTE: Service flow rates are based on the manufacturers recommendations for normal contaminate loads. Lighter contaminate loads may be treated at higher flow rates.
Backwash Flow Rates
The minimum rate (in gallons per minute) that needs to be available for proper backwashing of the system. This is not a constant rate, your water source just needs to be capable of supplying the shown rate for backwashing. NOTE: Using a system with less than the recommended backwash rate may be possible, however, doing so will decrease media life and will negate the 30-day satisfaction guarantee. (The warranties on the tank and control head will remain unaffected).
