Financial Status for Sutter and Colusa Counties, California, for the Year 1929. Edited and Published by Jan and Naomi McPeek at Aaron's Books. Salem, Ohio. January, 2004

This booklet includes 4 index pages and information about approximately 490 tradesmen and manufacturers, and their financial condition in Sutter and Colusa Counties. This is fascinating local and genealogical history immediately preceding the Great Depression, which will give you great insight into what was happening in the communities and who the principal players were at the time. It is possible that many of these towns no longer exist and others have blossomed into nice size cities. All towns listed in this report are named at the bottom of the description. This information was compiled from the R. G. Dun (became Dun and Bradstreet) Mercantile Reference Book of January 1920 and was confidential information at the time of publication. The information for each listing includes the name, trade or business, financial worth, and credit rating. The photography does not do the text justice. The text is on a good grade of paper, making it easier to read than the original newsprint. Time does not allow me to respond to emails about particular listings. This report comes spiral bound in a durable manila report cover.

Towns included in this report are:

COLUSA COUNTY: Arbuckle, College City, Colusa, Delevan, Grimes, Leesville, Lodoga, Maxwell, Princeton, Sites, Stonyford, and Williams.

SUTTER COUNTY: Cranmore, East Nicholaus, Live Oak, Lomo, Meridian, Nicholaus, Pollock, Platina, Pleasant Grove, Rio Oso, Robbins, Sutter, Terra Buena, Trowbridge, Tudor, Verona, West Butte, and Yuba City.
