Materials: Aurigan mouthpiece with Stainless Steel Cheeks and Curb Chain

The optimum fit of the Bemelmans Weymouth keeps the horse on the bit. It has a smooth, rounded port that is angled forwards which prevents any contact with the soft palate.
The shape of the mouthpiece is engineered to match the shape of the sensitive palatal arch and the tongue. The thickness is tapered towards the centre.
This exceptional design results in soft and even pressure across the entire tongue. Horses that have any tendency to put the tongue over the bit, almost always improve dramatically in the Bemelmans Weymouth, with most of them ceasing altogether.
This version, with short lower cheeks of 5cm, requires sensitive rider hands, as the shorter cheeks mean the action is more direct and quicker.
We also keep this Weymouth with standard length cheeks, please see our shop category 'Sprenger Weymouths and bradoons' to view that model.
The Bemelmans Weymouth meets the highest requirements, resulting in relaxed and contented horses.

Please feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. We are always pleased to advise on bitting - with 35 years experience of retailing Sprenger bits plus riding at advanced level, we can usually help.
