PLEASE NOTE: These cables will only work with WEDGE versions of these scanners.  Please check the picture posted below that shows common label styles and where to check to confirm that your scanner is the WEDGE version (circled in red in the picture below) prior to purchasing this cable.

These cables are not made by Metrologic, but are superior to traditional MX009 cables because no programming, drivers, or AC adapter are needed for standard USB use. I've personally tested these cables to work with Windows 2000, ME, XP, Vista, Win7, MacOS X, and recent versions of Linux and Unix (all of which don't require drivers).  Data will be input wherever the cursor is on the screen or wherever data normally would show up when you would type on a USB keyboard.
