Comments: Since I do not read Japanese, what follows is what I have been able to piece together from various sources on the internet.  About 1900, Sohachi Yamaoka wrote a 40 volume serialized novel called "Tokuyama Ieyasu"  which was about the Tokugawa shogunate dynasty.  This is volume #30 in the series and concerns Tokugawa Iemitsu who was the third shogun of the dynasty and served from 1623 to 1651.  This is the first volume of what I suspect were three volumes (#30-32) about Iemitsu.  The entire book is in Japanese except for three words which say "Printed in Japan".  And no, I do not have the other volumes that go with this one.  I do have volumes #33-35 and you can look in our ebay store for them.  This volume has two nice color illustrations and a smattering of B&W illustrations.  Included is an eight page pamphlet (with writing and pictures) and a postcard sized paper with lots of writing (maybe genealogy?).   The book is nicely produced and may be fascinating reading for all I know.  And now you know as much as I do.

The Small Print

We have been booksellers for 30 years. We hope you will trust us to accurately and fairly describe our books. If anything, we tend to grade lower than we should.

We use the traditional book grading system of (from best to worst): As New, Fine, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor. As new means just what it says; fine is a copy with a few very small faults; a very good copy has minor faults but is usually acceptable to a collector; good is a reasonable copy but with definite problems; fair is just barely tolerable; poor means it's all there and readable but that's about it. A plus or minus means at the high or low end of that grade.

We only accept PayPal. Ohio residents must add 6.0% sales tax (before postage).

We will not sell items after an auction ends without bids. Buy via the auction or not at all. If we re-list the item it will be at a higher price to cover our time and effort.
