New and Recycled Cider / Beer / Wine Barrels

These drums have previously held a soft drink before a water wash. These may have slight residues of water and or a slight scent of the previous product.

Barrels has two 56 x 4 mm bungs in the top
As we cannot get inside the barrel to fit a back nutt we have the facilities here to drill a hole into the barrel and cut a 3/4 inch BSP thread so all you have to do is screw the tap into it.

Just add this tap into your basket when ordering and if you have some specific requirements of where or how high you would like the hole drilled and threaded leave a note on your order or e-mail us afterwards.

  • 56 x 4 mm Bung with 3/4 inch BSP Female Thread and plastic self venting tap
This arrangement will replace one of the bungs which the barrel already comes with. 

If you are purchasing these for your own barrel just check what size your bung is and the pitch of the thread. Options they could be are 70 mm x 6 mm, 64 x 5 mm and 56 mm x 4 mm.

These taps are suitable for water, food dressings and flavourings, dairy liquids, edible oils, honey and other liquid foodstuffs, cleaning chemicals, fabric refreshers, photo-chemicals, agro chemicals, veterinary chemicals and many other chemicals.

For water at 25 cm constant head height it can provide up to 70 ml per second.
  • Adaptor and Full Flow Tap
A 56 x 4 mm Barrel adaptor to 2 inch BSP Female thread and a 2 inch Brown Full Flow Barrel Tap.

If your Barrel has a different sized bung or thread we have other adaptors available. Options they could be are 70 mm x 6 mm, 64 x 5 mm and 56 mm x 4 mm.

Full Flow barrel tap has a 2 inch BSP male thread and a thick seal, suitable for many fuels and chemicals.

Previously held olives before a cold water wash these barrels come with a two piece lid and a thick seal.

Perfect for food stuffs and very popular with Cider makers.

See below a plastic tap can also be fitted if required.

Just had this option to your basket and if required we can drill a hole ready for you to fit the tap.

Taps come with a back nutt so all you will need to do is tighten this on the inside
