I wasn't satisfied with my Bird CC-6 because the Model 43 meter is being held in solid contact with the hard shell case. If the CC-6 case is dropped the meter will take it on the chin! So, I designed this custom case to completely isolate the Model 43 in semi-rigid foam, thus providing the protection that the delicate meter movement requires. I also added compartments for cables, adapters and a rugged 100W Bird RF Load. And remember that when your Bird wattmeter is not being used it should have a shorting dummy plug installed in place of the element to shunt and protect the 30 ua meter movement.

This custom case is also suitable for many other Bird Wattmeters of similar design: Bird 4410A, Bird 43P, Bird 4304A, Bird 4314B, Bird APM-16, Bird 4430, Bird 4431, Bird 4314C, etc., as well as Telewave Power Meters 44A, 44L1, 44L1P and 44AP.
