This full strength Glacial Acetic Acid is a clear, colorless liquid with a pungent, vinegar odor. Miscible with water, alcohol, glycerin and ether.

Glacial acetic acid is considered corrosive due to its acidic nature and its ability to react with various materials, including metals, causing damage and deterioration. The term "glacial" refers to the fact that acetic acid can solidify into ice-like crystals at room temperature (typically around 16.6 °C or 61.9 °F).

Used in some copper patina formulas for a purple coloring effect.
