Omega 3 is an essential fatty acid (EFA) that is sourced from fish oil. Fatty acids are the basis of fats, they are necessary for optimal functioning of neurons, cell protection, minimal cell decrease and and help support nerve transmission. EFA's are necessary for rebuilding existing cells and the production of new cells.

Essential fatty acids are made up of EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid) which are both long chain fatty acids that have been shown to provide a number of health benefits. Recent studies have also shown that essential fatty acids can direct glucose (from digested carbohydrates) towards glycogen storage while at the same time directing other fatty acids in the body away from triglyceride synthesis (fat storage) and towards fatty acid oxidation. In simple terms, essential fatty acids appear to conserve carbohydrates while simultaneously burning fat.

As a food supplement we recommend taking 2 Softgels, 1-3 times daily with meals.
