The following towns are featured: an artist representation of Scotland, by Lilian (actually Eliza Jane) Lancaster; well-known to map enthusiasts, collectors, and dealers through her collection of humorous map drawings. She supposedly produced them when she was just fifteen, to entertain a sick brother while he was confined to bed. These twelve anthropomorphic maps of European countries appeared in printed form in Geographical Fun, Humorous Outlines of Various Countries, published by Hodder and Staughton in London in 1869. The introduction to the work and the lines of humorous rhyming verse which accompanied the maps were by Aleph, the pseudonym of the City Press journalist and Islington antiquary, Dr. William Harvey.
