Brothel Poker Tokens, or "Brothel Chips" as they are commonly referred to date back to the wild west times and well into the 20th century. They probably started when some of the early illegal brothels also included illegal card rooms. Some of the early Card Rooms/Brothels were quite famous and chips from these operations are rare and greatly sought after by collectors today. As the card rooms disappeared brothel chips became more often used by the remaining brothels as advertising or promotional items. In Nevada Brothels are not-allowed to advertise by law.
