This is part I only of what was a 3 volume set. "The Temple of Deir El Bahari: Its Plan, Its Founders, and Its First Explorers - Introductory Memoir" is a 28 page (plus 14 plates), 10"x12.75" hardcover written by Edouard Naville and published in 1894 by The Egypt Exploration Fund in London. There are chapters on the first explorers of the temple (Champollion, Wilkinson, Lepsius), the Mariette archaeological expedition, the plan of the temple, and various members of the family of Thothmes who erected the building. The black and white plates depict the temple plans and photographs of various details.

The book is in acceptable condition, with no dust jacket. The paper-covered boards have heaving rubbing, moisture stains and losses around the edges, and half the spine covering is missing. The front hinge is starting to crack. There are a couple stamps on the ffep and an old price in pencil. There's a small pencil mark on the back of the last plate. The binding is firm.
