New design, the older type are prone to wearing away leaving the chain eating into the metal bracket and creating a slack chain which can then damage your timing chain and gears resulting in a costly repair, If you have a chain rattle or tinkling sound coming from the top of your engine then its most likely to be this, please check the pictures of how these can wear away.
