Vintage fold-out Bordeaux-Biarritz road map, published by the Michelin Tire Company more than 65 years ago.

This map opens to 49.5 x 110 cm [19½" x 43½"] and is drawn on a scale of 1:200,000.

The coverage area exends from the city of Bordeaux to St. Jean-de-Luc, Lées, and Accous, including Oloron, Ortbez, Bayonne, Biarritz, Soustons, Belin, Pissos, Tartas, Dax, Arcachon, Morcenix, and Hagetmau, as well as a small part of northern Spain.

There's good detail along the Atlantic coast, and an inset plan gives a closer look at the Biarritz-San Sebastián (Saint-Sébastien) area.

This map was published by Michelin in 1950, and it is dated in the upper corner.

The cover graphics feature Bibendum — the jolly, rotund Michelin Man, first introduced in 1898 and one of the world's oldest and most recognized trademarks.
