The ELM 327 diagnostic device is an extremely powerful tool that lets you access your cars ECU to read out and clear fault codes, display live data, perform output tests and much much more.

The ELM 327 is compatible with most European petrol cars from 2001 and all European diesel cars from 2004. NOT VANS OR TRUCKS

Plugs into your laptop and then into your car, helps you diagnose why the engine check light is on and enables you to turn it off. Does not cover ABS, air bag or service lights only the engine management light/system (MIL)

  • What is it?
    Interface cable for connecting your PC to your car's ECU via your 16 pin socket
  • Where is the socket?
    The 16 pin connector is normally in the drivers foot well
  • What does it do?
    Trouble shoots problems associated with your engine check light being on
  • Can it turn off service lights?
    No, service lights are not faults and do not register as such in the ECU
  • What about ABS and air bags?
    No, this is for engine management lights only
  • My car has a 16 pin socket will it work?
    ONLY if your car is OBD2, that's 2001 onwards for petrol and 2004 onwards for diesel
    as a general rule.
  • What if I can't get it to work?
    Don't worry! You can phone us for help and if we cannot resolve the problem you can
    return the interface to use for a full refund
  • Can I damage my car's ECU with this?
    NO, it's impossible to do any damage to your car with this lead
