Ludwig Roesch was a well-known Austrian architectural painter of the turn of the 20th century. He studied at the Viennese School of Arts and Crafts and at the Vienna Art Academy. He spent the years 1887-1895 in England, France and Spain, then another three years in France and Switzerland before returning to Vienna in 1907. He took part in various exhibitions at the Vienna Secession, of which he was a member in 1907-1924.
