Product Description:

This offering is for a new-old-stock 3T Mutangolo city/touring stem that measures 110 mm in length (center-to-center) and is angle adjustable up to 50 degrees (from -20 degrees to +30 degrees). Most of the stem is finished in a matte black enamel with polished silver accents noted at the face plate and at the angle adjustment dial (which is adjusted with a 5 mm allen wrench).

3T notes these stems are part of the Mutant line of stems, but should not be considered for competitive cycling or off road use (and this warning is everywhere...from our shop catalogs to the plastic bag packaging these stems came to us in). The main body pieces of the stem are forged and then CNC machined and all the hardware is stainless steel. You will receive everything pictured...a matching dust cap, shim, etc...and although bulk packed in plastic bags, they are in very nice condition with very little shopwear.

With respect to compatibility, the diameter of the fork steerer clamp is the relatively common 28.6 mm, which should fit any 1 1/8" threadless fork steerer tube, and the handlebar clamp measures 25.8 to 26.0 mm, which is also a relatively common size that should be compatible with many vintage drop handlebars. Please also note a 25.4 mm shim is included in the event you need to use this stem on a smaller 1" threadless fork steerer tube.

We should also mention that while we were only able to acquire these stems in one size and the small lot was bulk packed in plastic bags, they still show fairly well (with little shopwear...so fairly nice overall cosmetic condition).

Note to international customers regarding shipping...
We apologize to those that feel some of our international shipping charges are too high. We only charge actual shipping rates, but once an order exceeds a certain amount, we hesitate to use the least expensive US Postal Services First Class International service. We feel this way, because this service is not trackable or insurable...so more risk of loss. We prefer the US Postal Services Priority Mail International service for more expensive orders, because this service is trackable at USPS.com and insurable...so less risk of loss. Unfortunately, this service is more expensive, especially for smaller/lighter packages, relative to the First Class International service. We are sorry about these higher shipping costs, but hopefully our notes help to explain why this is the case.

Note to international customers regarding customs...
We also apologize to those that feel their country import taxes, duties and brokerage fees are excessive. As a small US business, we are required by customs' laws to declare each order as a retail sale. Additionally, the declared order value must be equal to total store purchases and/or winning auction bids (less any shipping costs, as these are not considered in the declared value). As a result, each customer will be responsible for paying his/her own country taxes, duties and brokerage fees, which will be collected upon delivery. Again, we apologize for these additional costs, but we cannot afford the penalties and fines that come with breaking customs' laws...so we have to strictly abide by them.
