Robert Sorby Handled Turnmaster with #1, 2 & 3 Tungsten Carbide Cutters
The handled version of Sorby's versatile TurnMaster Tool with all three (round, detail point, and square) of their primary tungsten carbide cutters (TCC).The Robert Sorby TurnMaster is the first wood turning tool in the world to combine three cutting edge technologies in one amazingly versatile tool. It's collection of available parts and cutters make it the most flexible and value added single turning tool on the market today. The TurnMaster will accept any of 3 standard cutters (square, round, or detail), as well as a wide range of other cutting tips which have been specially configured to work with it. The TurnMaster incorporates a patented interchangeable cutter head that locks into three positions. This allows for both scraping (for fast material removal) and shear scraping (for fine finishing and smoothing) options. The round shank has a flat underside for stability on the rest. It has a high tensile strength torx screw to keep cutters tight. It also includes a special key for quick cutter release.Cutters are available in 3 different materials - tungsten carbide (TC), high speed steel (HSS), and the titanium nitride (TiN) coated Excelsior line. This lets turners select just the right cutter for the materials being turned.Choose super tough tungsten carbide for roughing operations or for abrasive materials such as high silica exotic woods. Choose high speed steel for clean detail and fine finishing. The titanium nitride coated Excelsior tips offer the same characteristics as plain HSS, but with the added toughness (has an Rc of 90) and prolonged edge life that TiN provides. Both the HSS and TiN cutters are able to be resharpened.
Specifications: The RSTM-HTC123 comes with one each of the Round, Detail Point, and Square Tungsten Carbide cutters. Will also accept any of Sorby's other TurnMaster cutting tips. Also includes a Cutter Release Key, Torx Wrenches, and an Instruction Sheet. Tool has a 12" long ash handle and is 20-5/8" long overall.

All offers include free ground shipping to the 48 contiguous United States with no minimum order required. We take great care packaging every item to ensure safe shipment to you. Once your order has been processed and we have received cleared payment, your item will be shipped as soon as possible. We do not drop-ship. All items ship from our Hartville, Ohio warehouse by either USPS, UPS, or FedEx. With our free shipping offer, we reserve the right to select the carrier and method of shipment.
To speed the order process, if you have both a physical street address and a separate mailing address (e.g. PO Box), please provide both during the checkout process, as it'll prevent any delays from us having to contact you after the fact to obtain further information to complete your order.
As a general guideline, orders that are physically small in size and have a order value of less than $150 are typically shipped by USPS Priority Mail, USPS First Class Mail, or UPS SurePost, so we'll need a valid mailing address to complete. Orders over $150 regardless of size are typically shipped by either UPS Ground or FedEx Ground, so we must have a physical street address to complete the order. For proper insurance and tracking, high value orders cannot be shipped to a PO Box address.

Returns
Returns are accepted within 30 days of their receipt. To be eligible for a full-refund, merchandise must be returned with all of its original contents in the same condition in which it was received. Return postage is the customer's responsibility.
If you're order was damaged in shipping (please hang onto the original shipping carton and packing materials) or a manufacturing defect has been found within the 30 day return period, please notify us right away and we'll gladly arrange either a replacement or a refund. Once the returns period has expired, any eligible warranty claims would have to be made directly with the manufacturer.
