six-string linear string rotation (LSR) top mounting roller nut will allow each
string to “roll” in a string groove on a camshaft rolling pin reducing undue
friction.
Roller
nuts can help reduce tuning instability because roller nuts will move (roll) forward
and back, while you bend strings up and down. They help allow for long, clear
sounds with open strings. With proper installation, a roller nut can give the
comfort of a more relaxed bridge, but with lock-style trem stability. Tuning
stability can be improved, especially during string bends and whammy bar use.

Installation &
Maintenance Notes If
you do not already have the set-up for this specific size of roller nut or have
a nut of a different dimension, be aware that you will have to modify the wood of
the fretboard. This involves a fair amount of modding, so please so not buy if
you don’t know for sure this nut will fit or you are willing and able to handle
the job. If your fingerboard has a different radius than this roller nut, the
feel may be off and modifications may be required. Be aware that you may need
shims (not included) for height
adjustment and optimal playability, depending on your current set-up. Note that
the rolling pins on a new roller nut must be precisely where the original nut’s
lead contact point was located. As always, intonation will have to be reset
after installation. Proper maintenance is a must, as always. This item will
require typical care.
