Description: A nice example of the first printing of the first edition, in its original dustwrapper. Rare.  The dustwrapper is not price-clipped, showing the original 8/6 price, and has chipping and wear to extremities with small loss to the head of the spine (please see pictures, and request further images if you wish). The book itself is in excellent condition, having been protected by its dustwrapper. Very light bumping to corner-tips and spine-ends, titles bright. Internally clean, with a small neat lightly-pencilled signature of J B Tasker to the front free endpaper. Very light browning to page edges. Binding sound and square. A nice copy of this rare and brilliant novel.
